When you come to Thailand, you will find that Western breakfast is not very common. It's a good idea to deal with your expectations that you may not find toast, scrambled eggs, sausages, French bread or your favorite cereal bowl with milk at the breakfast table. Except for hotels and foreign restaurants, this type of breakfast cannot be easily found on the road or at nearby restaurants. In general, you can eat many of the same Thai food for breakfast that you may eat for lunch or dinner. The word breakfast in Thai is called aahan chow, which means breakfast and covers many options, from small snacks to porridge to Thai omelettes.
